Quilters Pin helps quilters to market their love of quilting. Whether you have an actual storefront, a virtual e-commerce shop or are looking for other ways to monetize your love of the craft, this book will give you a head start on a very valid social media marketing campaign using Pinterest.

"Andrea, something blunt must have fallen on your head no one will pay me enough money for the effort I put into a quilt... you are off your rocker to think I can earn any real cash with this!"

Well, I hear ya. In a nutshell, there are many ways to monetize your passion for quilting *including* actually making quilts.

* Do you enjoy creating projects and do you think you could document that for others to piece?

* What about teaching courses, from beginners up to experts this strategy can have many faces -- hey, my Mom did NOT teach me how to quilt, but she did teach me to sew! She taught me what a grain is and why it is important and a whole bunch of other stuff...

* Have you considered becoming a reseller for notions, fabrics etc.

* Etsy anyone? Small crafts (and even larger ones) of pretty much any nature are being sold daily and I dare you to tell me you've not heard of this online store... go ahead, I dare you!

This is just the beginning of how you can actually earn without pimping yourself for $3/hour slaving over someone's King-sized Quilt.

In Quilters Pin you will learn from the basics up how to use the powerful social media platform Pinterest to promote your love of quilting, either by marketing your quilts or a variant of your quilting skills.

This book is written with the social media newbie in mind in an easy-to-follow format and includes access to videos, checklists and extra reports to ensure that the reader is able to implement what is taught in the book.

Quilters Pin also has a demonstration Pinboard on Pinterest where readers can ask questions, read in the knowledge base (FAQ section), meet pinners with similar challenges and aspirations as far as their quilt marketing is concerned.

This book will give you a solid start to promoting craft online.

First - I'm not a quilter. In fact I'm the antithesis to a quilter. But I wanted to get this book because my sister is a quilter and I knew she'd love reading it. We all know Pinterest is the fastest growing network (I should know, I wrote a book about Pinterest!) - and we also know that it's a perfect place for crafty people of all kinds. I can't imagine a group more suited to Pinterest than quilters. I thought the author did an exemplary job of introducing newbies to Pinterest, including how to set up a home page, a profile page and (most importantly) how to structure your pinboards and pins.

The author also includes a chapter on how to get more Pinterest followers - which I think is a must for anyone who wants to use Pinterest in their overall marketing endeavors.

An excellent job - highly recommend.

Quilters Pin Pinterest Strategies Piecebypiece for Quilters Book 1 eBook Appliqué Andrea Schmitz Reviews

Even though I am not a quilter this book would be relevant for any craft's person who wants to find a new avenue to market their products. Kudos to the Author - well done.
This author has written -- in homespun-style -- a terrific "how-to" book laying out a host of Pinterest strategies and marketing ideas. I've learned plenty -- stuff I had no idea existed. What a wonderful eye-opener!
I have used Pinterest a little over the past year of so,never fully seeing the potential. I found this valuable resource and plan to keep it in my library to use as reference. I will use her 6 reasons to use Pinterest when talking to my clients about using the app for marketing.
If you are a quilter looking to market and brand your crafts, you'll want this kindle. Not only does the author offer enthusiastic suggestions on how you can use Pinterest social media to your advantage, you get access to bonus private tutorials in her quilter's pin membership. Now that's a deal!
First off, the book covers most of the basic things that you need to learn about Pinterest like what it is, why do people use it, what you will benefit from it, etc. Very helpful stuff for beginners! It also gives you a few tips on how to actually build your followers or following.

The more eyeballs, the more traffic, right? Very entertaining at the same time, not plain at all.
Though I am not a quilter, I AM a crafter. But I am woefully ignorant about the ins and outs of using Pinterest, so I was very interested in reading this book. It is a very well organized primer to taking advantage of Pinterest as a craft marketing tool.

The author has a friendly, casual style that makes the book easy to read. It also includes an unusual bonus with the purchase of the book - free membership to a website that offers tutorial videos, worksheets and more.
If you want to learn more about using the internet to market your craft, I also recommend Selling Craft Online.
Quilters exercise painstaking creative energy and their focus is fabric, thread, batting, and the tools of their craft. Until now, quilters found themselves in a broad based "craft" niche. Author Andrea Schmitz changes that with "Quilters Pin!" Schmitz writes a book about marketing directly to a highly niched audience of quilters, and she offers a strong selling proposition for the Pinterest social sharing network

" ... the ability to visually present your craft is very powerful. Here you have many options to lay out your wares, share them with like minded people and meet your ideal customers -- for an extremely low cost (you can do it all for free!) you get an extremely high return."

The author serves up a generous overview of marketing potential and offers additional resources in links leading to a live community setting for book readers interested in taking their marketing message and monetizing it.

Andreas Schmitz has created a living document for an under served audience. Bravo!
